There are a couple of reasons you might edit an incident. The first is to correct an entry error from when the incident was created. The second is to update the Incident Stage Timeline. It is recommended that the Incident Details not be edited after the initial entry. Updates to the Incident Details during an incident should be made in the comments. The comments are dated and time-stamped to help establish a timeline of when events occurred.
To edit an incident, click on the edit button on the top right corner of the Incident Page. All the information on the page may be edited. When the edit is complete, click on Save Incident Details.
