User Roles

At the bottom of the New User and Edit User pages are the system roles for each user type. Administrators have access to assign all roles. The roles in this format are only visible to administrators.

Administrator
Administrator access has full access in the system. It is recommended that the number of administrators be limited to the number needed to administrate the system.

Admin Manager
Admin Manager access is the same as the administrator but Admin Managers unable to invite, edit, and approve users,

Admin Observer
Admin Observer access is a view only of the system. This role is established for officials that need to see the data but not operate functions of the system.

Incident Observer
Incident View access is a view of a specific incident. This role is established for officials that need to see the data from a specific incident but not data from all the incidents.

Business Owner
Business owner access has full access to their business or businesses in the system and is established when the owner registers in the system. A business owner can assign a Business Manager.

Business Authorized Representative
Business Authorized Representative access has the same access as a business owner and is also established when the representative registers in the system. A representative would register on behalf of the owner. A Representative can also assign a Business Manage,

Business Manager
Business Manager access can only manage the businesses for an owner or representative. The Business Manager role is assigned by the system when owners or representatives assign a manager.

Third Party
Third Party access allows a third party access to a specific impact case. It does not allow access to the system.

Setting The User’s Role

The administrator, Admin Manager, Admin Observer, and Incident Observer roles are set by the administrator. The Business Owner and Business Authorized Representative roles are set by the system when the owner or representative register in the system. A Business Manager is set by the Business Owner or Representative.

To set the role, click on the dot next to the role. The dot will turn blue indicating the role selected. After the role is selected, click Submit. A user’s role may be changed by editing the user and changing the role.
